The GYROKINESIS®️ Method is a practice that involves the entire body. It increases range of motion, stimulates the nervous system, opens energy pathways and creates functional strength through rhythmic movement sequences. Breathing and mental focus are key elements alongside the movement.
The GYROKINESIS®️ Method is practiced on a mat and chair without equipment. Without the feedback and guidance of equipment, participants in a GYROKINESIS®️ class are more dependent on their own proprioception to explore movement sequences.
Regularly performing GYROKINESIS®️ movements strengthens the muscles that support the spine, hips, and pelvis, while stabilising the shoulder girdle. All movements are done without impact and assist in strengthening muscles in the core, arms, and legs as well.
The GYROTONIC®️ Jumping-Stretching Board exercise sequences comprise full body, functional movements that are performed in various positions including kneeling, lying, standing and sitting. It enables improved flexibility, coordination and core strength.
A diverse range of standing exercises improve flexibility, coordination, and functional strength. The ergonomic, gliding platform allows users to experience running, and jumping in a low impact, horizontal plane, with the spine and pelvis fully supported, making it ideal for post injury exercise.
